Rare high-quality double barrel percussion pistol, circa 1840/45.
Double-barrel percussion pistol.
The mechanism is functional.
The 2 hammers hold well and strike well.
Lovely ‘water drop’ walnut butt in great condition.
The barrels are in excellent condition. There is some slight remains of residue around the chimneys, the result of old firing without cleaning afterwards.
Double octagonal barrel.
Definitely the work of skilled French gunsmith from the 19th century.
the double-barrel pistol is over 150 years old, has minor signs of wear and handling. It is in an exceptional state of preservation. The mechanism works perfectly well, springs operate like new. Everything on the pistol is authentic.
