Refund, Returns and Shipping Policy

Important information:
We, the seller guarantees that we are entitled to ship these lots.
Sold items will be professionally packed and safely send in wooden crates or strong Boxes by FedEx or postNL.
Buyers are responsible for import regulation and the handling of restrictions of their own country. Shipping costs are for mainland destinations only. Flat fee shipping costs for an average sized Painting is max. 25 Euro in the Netherlands and max. 45 Euro for the rest of Europe (main land only). Only extreme large or heavy objects will be excluded of this arrangement, which will be noted at the object description. Our shipping and handling prices cover lesst then half of the real expenses of protecting, insuring, shipping and handling. Smaller objects will be sent for real cost or max. 15 Euro in the Netherlands and is 35 Euro for the rest of Europe (main land only).

We will do our best to prevent any damage during shipping. Professional packaging ordered items is be part of the shipping process. This includes protection against moist and shocks. Special attention will be given to fragile parts and parts sticking out. We will make sure direct contact of parts like these with its shipping crate will be avoided. We also film the condition of the items you ordered just before and during the packing process, so that any damage that may occur afterwards can be clearly assigned. We also follow the same procedure when receiving and unpacking return shipments. If you receive the items and their packaging already damaged, we kindly ask you to take pictures of it immediately on arrival, both of the unopened packaging and also during unpacking. In this way, the carrier can be held liable in the event of damage.

However: Although we make sure shipping is handled professionally, due to the fragile character of plaster frames, damage to plaster parts of frames must and will be excludes from possible damage claims.

Estimated delivery time

Once you make your payment, we will ship your order within 5 working days. Shipping to your location from The Netherlands usually takes 1-7 days. Of course you will receive the tracking code to be able to trace and receive your goods in time.

Current safety precautions in some regions mean shipping might take a little longer. We are closely monitoring the situation and, so far, there haven’t been many delays. We’ll keep you updated if the situation changes.

Save shipping costs

Ordered goods can of course be picked up in Haarlem. We will make a suitable location and time available in consultation with you. Please make sure to make an appointment on forehand: +31653881777.

If you buy more than one object, the items will be shipped together unless the article demands separate shipment (to prevent damage).

If shipping can be combined, you’ll only pay the slightly higher shipping cost.

REFUND information:

Shipment costs for the usually large end vulnerable objects are high. Proper packing and protecting takes lots of time: We pack our items extremely professional, fragile objects usually in wooden crates with ample use of cushioning and bubble foil sheets. We are extremely careful and experiences in preparing and insuring these shipments. Nevertheless: if for any reason goods arrive damaged, please directly contact us on +31653881777. You can also contact us on to assist you in the damage recovery process.

If you change your mind and want to return goods within 21 days, you can. We do want you to take care of careful repacking , the retour shipping and insurance. Why: because we give you ample information and provide you with detailled pictures and or tests in what you buy. Therefore, we find it reasonable you make a well thought-after buying-decision and not an impulsive one. Doing so will prevent lots of unnecessary work and prevent risk on damage or loss on the route back to us. Please be reminded we do sell precious, fragile and large items requiring lots of effort in order to be transported.

So we find it more then reasonable that costs of return shipments for other reasons then damaged goods are for the buyer. On arrival of thecreturned goods, we will film the unpacking proces to make sure we will not add up to damages

We put a lot of time checking the provenance of paintings, but not always this info is available in writing. If we do state the year of production, you can surely assume that the painter is definitively established. We do not accept returns based on lack of provenance.
