Petrus Antonius Hermanus Brouwer (painter) was born on the 1st of August 1935 in Utrecht, and died on the 4th of September 2010 in Sneek.
He was a student of painter John Bévort (1917 – 1996) and painter Cor van Diggelen (1921 – 1989). He attended the evening academy in Utrecht and was a pupil of painter Henk Bellaard (1896 – 1975). Subsequently, he was taught by his uncle Piet Brouwer, who was a teacher at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam.
Peter Brouwer mainly made paintings of floral still lifes, cityscapes, beach views, seascapes and sailing ships.
